Lindsay Clancy Defense Lawyer Suggests a Single Juror is Standing in the Way of a Not Guilty Verdict

Lindsay Clancy’s defense attorney Kevin Reddington appeared to suggest on Thursday that a single juror is in the way of a not guilty verdict for Lindsay Clancy. 

 

Reddington addressed the court after Judge William Sullivan called jurors back into the courtroom to reiterate the definition of reasonable doubt. 

 

Reddington said:

The court has an instruction from the foreperson of that jury that’s been working for a week now saying that there’s one juror who refuses to listen to the law that you’ve given him or her on reasonable doubt, and I suggest, respectfully, that the soft instruction that you gave them, saying at the sidebar, can you listen to the law as I instruct you, does not focus on the issue. It is the question is not sufficient enough. 

 

It does not allow any foundation for a motion to remove the juror who refuses to accept your instructions on the law, on reasonable doubt. And if we come back here in a half an hour with a mistrial, because of a juror that has just spurned the instructions of this court, it’s a shame. It’s a real shame. And that’s why I object to the court’s ruling. I request that we have further inquiry. I request that — my motion is to remove this juror that refuses to listen to your instruction on reasonable doubt.

Clancy has been on trial for five weeks to determine if she can be held criminally responsible for killing her three children, Cora, Dawson, and Callan in January 2023. Clancy, who experienced postpartum depression and psychosis, has pleaded not guilty, and her attorney has argued she cannot be held responsible for strangling the children to death due to insanity. 

 

Clancy currently faces five potential outcomes: first-degree murder, second-degree murder, manslaughter, not guilty by reason of insanity, and not guilty.

If what Clancy's lawyer is stating is true then may God give that juror the willpower to hold the forth. Because Lindsay Clancy is a monster and a serial murderer who methodically strangled and killed her children one by one. And the day we allow post-partum depression, etc. to be an excuse to murder your kids is a wreckoning that I can't even begin to comprehend.

2 House Democrats Vote to Rescue the Republican Legislative Agenda

A pair of House Democrats voted to rescue the Republican legislative agenda Tuesday as GOP leaders faced an internal revolt, an extremely rare crossing of party lines that pushed a key procedural vote through a closely divided chamber. 

 

Democratic Reps. Jared Golden of Maine and Marie Gluesenkamp Perez of Washington voted with most Republicans to set up debate on a series of GOP-led bills, including a resolution condemning socialism that party leaders want to use to hammer Democrats on the campaign trail.

The two Democrats were decisive in the 210-208 vote, where five Republicans had broken ranks over frustrations with how party leaders had handled an earlier vote on government spending. While House members routinely cross party lines on legislation, it is almost unheard for minority members to break ranks and vote for the “rules” the majority uses to set the floor agenda. Golden and Gluesenkamp Perez are both members of the moderate Blue Dog Democrats, and Golden is not seeking reelection in November.

Golden and Perez are receiving a ton of backlash from Dems for their votes, but not only do they deserve props for standing up for their constituents, but plenty of praise for representing what's left of the moderate wing of the Democrat party. A section that's literally on life support thanks to the Party's far-Left ideological takeover. Of course, who knows what happens from here, but this is also a huge win for Mike Johnson. And with Democratic leaders effectively surrendering control of the party to the DSA, abandoning centrists while protecting socialists shows a complete lack the courage to challenge the party’s leftward shift.
