Camryn Manheim, best known for her role as Ellenor Frutt in the late 1990s and early 2000s drama series "The Practice," introduced and presented her friend and fellow actress Marcia Gay Harden with the Ally for Equality Award at the HRC's National Dinner on Sunday. 

 

"For Marcia, of course, this is deeply personal to her," said Manheim of this year's recipient of the prestigious award. "She has three remarkable children who all align with the LGBTQ+ community, which is another thing that deeply irritates me about her, because I always wanted a gay son."

Never heard of Camryn Manheim until now, but pushing your kid towards homosexuality is full-blown grooming and it goes on a lot with AWFL's. Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) tore into former special prosecutor Jack Smith during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing Tuesday, alleging his investigations into President Donald Trump were “all about politics from Day 1.” 

 

“Your investigation, so-called, your prosecution, so-called, was nothing other than an attempt to interfere, politically, in a presidential election in the United States of America,” Hawley said to Smith during the hearing. 

 

During the hearing focused on Smith’s two investigations into Trump, Hawley alleged Smith opened the inquiries “all for the purpose of keeping Donald Trump off the ballot.” Smith, under former President Joe Biden’s Department of Justice, investigated Trump twice: once over the 2020 elections and the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol Building, and once over the classified documents found at Mar-a-Lago.

Funny how so many mainstream news outlets are only highlighting suppossed GOP 'misses' and/or 'gaffes' from this Senate hearing so they can paint Smith in a good light. But that goes to show you the state of today's media. Either way, Jack Smith proved today that not only is he a lying and total scumbag, but also a partisan hack who did everything he could to stop Donald Trump from regaining the Presidency.

“The View” co-host Sunny Hostin sensationally claimed on-air that she was the lone holdout juror who forced a notorious NYC cannibal killer to be found not guilty by reason of insanity — but multiple sources from the time directly refute her story, The Post can reveal. “Several jurors questioned afterwards said one holdout juror was principally responsible for preventing them from returning a guilty verdict,” Hostin read aloud from a New York Times article from the 1991 trial on Tuesday.

But 35 years ago, jurors told The Post, Newsday, the Daily News and the Associated Press that the actual holdout was an unemployed man who wanted to keep the trial going so he could continue getting paid by the court for his civic duty. A law enforcement source from the time also told The Post this week that the holdout was a man. “He was unemployed and liked the $15 a day and the three free meals,” juror Valerie Holmes told Newsday in the aftermath of the verdict.

Supreme Court Allows Trump Administration to Expand Database Used to Identify Potential Voter Purges

The Supreme Court on Friday permitted the Trump administration to use an expanded federal database containing citizenship information, as the president encourages states to purge people from voter rolls. 

 

The justices, divided 6-3 on ideological lines with conservatives in the majority, granted an emergency request filed by the government after lower courts ruled that the Trump administration’s changes to the database were likely unlawful. 

 

Critics have said the data is unreliable and could lead to U.S. citizens being kicked off the voter rolls. But the court noted in its unsigned ruling that the National Voter Registration Act bars the broad purging of voter rolls in the weeks leading up to an election, which “limits the potential impact” of the decision this year. States can still make individualized queries about voters.

So to the detriment of Democrats, SCOTUS temporarily clears the Trump administration to use an expanded federal SAVE database, including Social Security information, to help states verify voter citizenship ahead of the November midterms. The GOP views this as common sense seeing as the system will help identify non-citizens on voter rolls, while the Left argues that it risks privacy violations and erroneous voter removals. A federal judge (appointed by Joe Biden of course) had previously blocked the system, but the SCOTUS’ emergency ruling allows its use while the broader legal challenge continues. Democrats can take some relief in the fact that states cannot conduct a wholesale purge of non-citizens from voter rolls this close to November, limiting the impact this year while potentially making it more significant by the next presidential election.

Trump-Appointed Judge Orders Him to Unban CNN, MS NOW, and Politico from White House

A federal judge temporarily blocked President Donald Trump’s order banning CNN, MS NOW, and Politico from the White House. 

 

Judge Timothy Kelly, whom Trump nominated to the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia in 2017, blocked Trump’s ban in a ruling early Thursday morning and ordered the White House to restore access to the three news organizations. Kelly, who in 2018 ordered then-CNN reporter Jim Acosta’s press credentials restored after the Trump administration revoked them, issued a 14-day restraining order. Such temporary restraining orders are issued before a court reviews a case more comprehensively. 

 

In the ruling, Kelly wrote that CNN, MS NOW, and Politico are “likely to succeed” in demonstrating that the Trump administration had not given the outlets “adequate due process.”

MSNOW and CNN in particular both hate Trump. But to be fair, Trump's handling of this latest media brouhaha has been reckless and frankly speaking dumb. First of all, instead of banning them from the White House at the last minute, why not just stop dealing with them altogether and ignore them? Tell your Press Secretary (if there's ever another one) to stop calling on them for questions. Do the same when you deal with the press one-on-one. Only allow certain cabinet members to go on air with CNN. Stop giving a clown and a grifter like Kaitlan Collins attention by talking to her or even worse dissing her so much publicly, because the liberal media is always going to side with Collins and make Trump out to be a misogynist. Because the more they see how much they get under your skin, the more they love it. Also, fight back against CNNs and MSNOWs lies and propaganda with facts from your main spokespeople. Considering that the same judge ruled against him before when he tried the same stunt on Jim Acosta during Trump 1.0, Trump was bound to lose this fight and he did. Now he's stuck with them, but too hard-harded to try a different flex.

Boston Globe Confirms That 'Trans Genocide' is a Myth

In a front page story this summer on the local Pride march, the Omaha World-Herald uncritically quoted a trans rights activist claiming that a proposed state ballot measure that would restrict transgender girls’ and women’s participation in school sports “won’t actually protect” biological women and girls and “will increase violence” against LGBTQ people. 

 

Stigmatizing transgender people, the argument goes, leads to attacks...But despite a hostile Trump administration and a barrage of anti-trans legislation across the country, the number of violent deaths the group documents has fallen nearly 50 percent from 53 in 2023 to 27 in 2025... 

 

The HRC tallies, too, find a declining number of violent transgender deaths to mourn. The group found a peak in 2021 of 47 deaths falling to 27 last year. HRC described that 40 percent drop as an “ongoing onslaught of violence.”

Of course, any sane person would tell you that there's never been such thing as a 'trans genocide' and that 'trans people' are murdered at a far lower rate than the general population. But leave it to the Godless Left to create yet another bogus term to reinforce their agenda and use against those who oppose the normalization and indoctrination of perverted behavior (especially when it comes to kids), mass killings by 'trans-identified' individuals and of course, the complete and utter fallacy that says you can be 'trans' to bein with. Grand Jury Finds No Criminal Wrongdoing in Nolan Wells Death

The grand jury reviewing the evidence in the death of Nolan Wells has found that no criminal charges are warranted at this point, according to the Jackson County Grand Jury Report released late Monday night. The report says that the "position of, condition of, time of discovery, and location" of the 18-year-old's body off the coast of Mississippi this July is "consistent with drowning." 

 

Wells vanished after he and friends had gone out celebrating the Fourth of July holiday on barrier islands off the Gulf Coast. His body was recovered in the waters off Horn Island two days later. 

 

Authorities have previously said they believe the college football player drowned, but the final determination would go to a grand jury that would review all the case materials, including the state medical examiner's completed autopsy report, to decide whether Wells' death involved a crime. The grand jury of 23 people, convened last week, found "no credible evidence to support the public allegations" that anyone riding to or from the island that day surrounding Wells "engaged in any criminal conduct related to" his death.

Well, apparently that's that as the woke, black liberal narrative of 'black kid with all white friends must've been murdered by said white kids' falls apart and resident ambulance-chaser Ben Chump will not be receiving a payday on this one. Of course it's a tragedy that Nolan Wells is dead and sympathy to his family and friends in their time of grief. But a grand jury (with 5 black members) reviewed all of the evidence and found no signs of wrongdoing. Indeed, Nikole Hannah-Jones’s experience with NYC schools should've prompted criticisms of teacher unions and the city’s education negligent bureaucracy, but instead she remains focused on racial ideology. Good thing her daughter spoke out because parents who are really concerned about poor schools, inadequate homework, or chaotic classrooms would normally be motivated by their responsibility to secure the best education for their children, rather than woke activism that only hinders their ability to learn and be productive members of society.

Adolescents who undergo sex alteration procedures experience a sharp rise in severe psychiatric illness in the years that follow, a landmark Finnish study has found. 

 

The peer-reviewed study, published this week in Acta Paediatrica found that specialist psychiatric treatment rates rose more than sixfold among males and more than doubled in females after intervention. 

 

Led by Professor Riittakerttu Kaltiala of Tampere University Hospital, the study tracked every young person under 23 who contacted Finland’s nationally centralised gender identity clinics between 1996 and 2019. The cohort of 2,083 individuals was followed for up to 25 years, compared against 16,643 matched population controls. Because Finland’s health registers are mandatory and patients cannot opt out, the dataset captured the complete fate of every gender-referred adolescent in the country over that period.

So basically this study confirms that transgenderism not only leads to a sharp increase in mental illness for kids, but puberty blockers, gender affirmation and sex change procedures massively increase suicide risks in children. But where do we go from here, especially when we see crazy stuff going on around the world like the Australian Supreme court allowing biological men in female-only spaces and states like Massachusetts taking away kids from parents for refusing to affirm their 'trans identity'? After all, the medical community greatly profits from gender-transition treatments for minors while downplaying their potential long-term consequences. Indeed, young people may be told they will be happier and can easily reverse course if they change their minds about 'transitioning', yet some treatments can have lasting effects and require lifelong medical care. Plus, children who later regret these decisions can face severe distress for life, which is more reason why medical professionals who recklessly facilitate such treatments should be held accountable, much less be held criminally liable.

During a fly-fishing interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper, Newsom called pandemic-era beach closures “insane, in hindsight,” said major school districts waited too long to reopen and again described his 2020 French Laundry dinner as “boneheaded.” The admissions are notable because Newsom led California through one of the country’s earliest and most aggressive pandemic responses, beginning with the nation’s first statewide stay-at-home order on March 19, 2020. 

 

Newsom singled out Los Angeles schools, saying that many districts reopened earlier but “L.A. refused.” That account places much of the responsibility on local officials, though reopening decisions also reflected state health rules, county conditions and negotiations between districts and employee unions. Beach restrictions were similarly divided among state and local authorities: California limited access to state beaches, Los Angeles County imposed its own closure, and Newsom temporarily closed Orange County beaches.

But Jake Tapper wants you to believe that he's an objective journalist and not a piece of shit. Right. Funny too how the only thing to come out of this 'Fly-Fishing with Gavin Newson' episode from the msm is Newsom telling people that he won't run for President in '28 if Kamala Harris runs again for a 3rd time. Holdout Juror in Lindsay Clancy Case Says He Didn’t Doubt Her Guilt

The holdout juror in the Lindsay Clancy case, which ended in a mistrial this month, has retained an attorney who described the man as “an American hero,” a “champion of justice” and a supporter of President Donald Trump. Edward Paltzik announced in a statement Thursday, Sept. 17, that he was representing the man, who publicly identified himself to NewsNation as Michael P. Desronvil. 

 

Desronvil, 48, is a resident of Plymouth County, Mass. Paltzik said in his statement that Desronvil is “presently safe and sound at an undisclosed secure location in a rural area of Northern New England.” “This American Hero and Champion of Justice loves the United States of America as the greatest country in the world; cherishes our sacred Constitution as the pinnacle of human liberty; and supports our amazing leader, President Donald J. Trump, as a fellow defender of common-sense, liberty, and sanity,” the statement also said. 

 

Paltzik pledged to hold accountable “to the maximum extent of the law and beyond” what he described as “the evil people who have so viciously attacked” his client. “In the meantime, though, he has persevered and remains utterly unbroken thanks to his devout Catholic Faith,” the statement continued. “As a devoted father and man of God, he will not be defeated or shattered by the wicked who wish harm upon him.”

This guy is a national hero and should be treated as such going forward. In fact, Trump should invite him to come to his next State of the Union address and he should give him a Presidential Medal of Honor down the line. Even more so, people need to rally around this man (esp. after attempts by the msm to smear him) and make sure he lives a safe and prosperous life, because standing your ground and sticking to your morals as a black man in a room full of woke, angry, white, liberals hellbent on letting a woman who planned and murdered her 3 kids get off scot-free? Texas Senate candidate James Talarico (D) said his math was “obviously” all wrong — he used to think there were six biological sexes, but he now believes there are only two. 

 

Talarico ditched his old stance after being pressed by Fox News correspondent Brooke Taylor to explain it in an interview with the right-leaning channel on Wednesday afternoon. “During the 2021 hearing, you said there are six biological sexes. Do you still believe that, standing here with me right now?” Taylor asked. 

 

“No, I’ve missed the mark with some of my past statements. I will be the first to admit it,” Talarico said. “What I meant is that there are two sexes, and then there’s a small percentage of people with genetic abnormalities. Obviously I didn’t say it correctly — there are not six sexes, there are two.” The liberal state rep then pivoted to bashing Republican politicians for focusing on the comment, saying they wanted to talk about his belief there were six sexes because “they don’t want to talk about $6 diesel.”

It's always amazing how far some Democrats will go to pander to the woke crowd while trying to win an election in a red state. New York Ends Regents Exams as High School Graduation Requirement

An effort to phase out the Regents exam as a high school graduation requirement reached a major milestone on Monday, when the New York State Board of Regents authorized a plan under which current seniors will be last who must pass the test in order to earn a diploma. 

 

The board’s approval kicks off a final push to turn the proposal — which has been in the pipeline for some time, but still lacks specifics — into an actionable plan over the next year, including long-awaited guidance for schools to implement the sweeping changes. 

 

“For years, we looked at what elite private schools provide for their students, and they do not worry about the Regents exam,” Education Department Commissioner Betty Rosa told the Board of Regents during its monthly meeting in Albany. “This state really needs to stop putting our kids in coach or a little extra legroom, but rather putting them in first class or business class — I’ll take business class. But the only way that we can get there is when we stop thinking about teaching to the test.”

So basically, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul and Albany Democrats have eliminated the Regents exam requirement for graduation beginning in 2028, allowing students to graduate without passing standardized tests. This change reduces accountability by giving districts greater control over graduation standards and could allow students to advance without being adequately prepared for college or careers. With New York spending roughly $41,000 per student, the focus should be on improving educational outcomes rather than lowering expectations. What an embarrassment.

Florida Governor DeSantis Offers 'Asylum' To Black Holdout Lindsay Clancy Juror After Media Starts Doxxing Him

Florida's governor threw his support behind the lone juror who blocked an acquittal for a mother who admitted killing her three children. 

 

Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis on Friday offered "asylum" to the holdout juror in the Lindsay Clancy case after NBC10 Boston published a report detailing the man's alleged past domestic violence, the New York Post reported. DeSantis accused the outlet of trying to destroy the reputation of a juror whose identity remains protected. "A man objected to allowing a woman to kill her three young kids and get away with it, so NBC is trying to smear that juror, whose identity should be protected. Another low for legacy media," DeSantis wrote on X. He added, "If the juror is being harassed, Florida will provide asylum — I'm sure he'd be welcomed and appreciated."

Further proof that Affluent White Female Liberals are the worst group of people in mankind today. Going so far as to punish and dox a black man for having the audacity to believe that Lindsay Clancy should be held responsible for murdering her kids one by one is crazy work, but totally expected when it comes to AWFLs. Of course, how it's even legal to dox an anonymous juror is another story and thanks in part to Gayle King, we know that there's a huge race angle here, but damn if this isn't the epitome of Malcolm's X's famous quote on 'white liberals as being more deceitful and dangerous than conservatives,' comparing them to a "fox" rather than a "wolf".

Global High School Test Scores Plummet to 20-Year Low as AI and Social Media Fuel a Learning Crisis

It’s a brain rot pandemic! Students worldwide are getting dumber, with scores from a sweeping exam issued to teens around the globe tanking to 20-year lows — and tech like AI and social media may be behind the brain-rotting culprits. 

 

Reading and mathematics scores plummeted nearly 20 points on the 2025 Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), a test administered every three years to 15-year-olds across the globe and taken this year by 760,000 kids in 91 countries. 

 

And those score drops were merely the latest low point in a two-decade trend of shocking decline — mathematics scores have slipped on almost every PISA test since 2006 to drop 32 points during that time, while reading scores sank 34 points since 2000.

Starting with families interest in their kids' education falling anf falling, there's so many reasons high school test scores have plummeted across the country. Add to the list kids distracted by digital devices, the increasing use of AI and also newer trends in the educational system like 'lowering standards' and 'grade inflation' that adjust grading metrics and reduce academic rigor. Not that anyonre in the two-party system or the msm cares.

Lindsay Clancy’s Lawyer Erroneously Calls on Trump to Pardon Her After Case Ends in Mistrial

Lindsay Clancy’s lawyer called on President Donald Trump to pardon the controversial Massachusetts mom — after her sensational criminal case ended in a mistrial last week. 

 

Kevin Reddington appeared on ABC’s Good Morning America Tuesday and told anchor George Stephanopoulos he hoped the president would step in. 

 

“I’d like to say that perhaps Donald Trump, who felt compelled to speak out about this case may very well — Mr. President I would hope that you would consider this young lady, the type of person she is and consider a pardon,” Reddington said.

Idiot doesn't know that Trump can't do anything for his triple-murdering client because it's a state proceeding and not a federal one. Then too, considering that Trump has already spoken out against Clancy's cold, calculated and heinous actions that led to strangle her 3 kids one by one, I highly doubt that the Presdient would pardon her even if he had the power to.

Browbeating Liberal Pundit Joy Reid Defends Left-Wing Journalist Who Called Hakeem Jeffries ‘AIPAC Monkey’

Joy Reid defended left-wing Palestinian journalist Rula Jebreal for branding House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) an “AIPAC monkey,” with the former cable news star arguing Jebreal was just ignorant to how the term could be perceived as racist because she wasn’t born in the USA.

Reid backed up Jebreal during the Friday episode of her YouTube show, three days after the now-viral comment was made. “Sometimes even our friends can get it wrong. They can stumble over trying to make a point that maybe there’s a cultural disconnection that causes that point to go askew and go awry,” Reid said.

She claimed Jebreal using the term “monkey” to refer to a Black lawmaker was different than if a right-winger had done it, since conservatives tend to be “absolutely malicious.” Instead, Jebreal simply didn’t understand the racial aspect to what she was saying — which made sense, considering she was born in Israel and was of Afro-Palestinian heritage, Reid argued.

First of all, Joy Reid is trash. From her lying back in the day about old blog posts that condemned homosexuality to her MSNBC run where all she did every day was blast Trump and the GOP while never holding Democrats accountable for anything to her getting fired from her job over bad ratings to her foolish and totally dense rant after the 2024 presidential election, claiming that Kamala Harris 'ran a flawless campaogn', Reid has proven to be an insufferable, angry, black tyrant that even the lily-white bosses at MSNOW got tired of and kicked to the curb. Keep in mind too that Reid didn't start talking about the genocide in Gaza until it was convenient, late in the run to the election when she finally started to notice that it could effect Kamala's ability to win. That said, now Reid is back to her old self: plantation Democrat propaganda, blaming everything on the GOP, name-calling anyone who dares to disagree with her (or steps out of line with Democrats) and apparently being go-to OG for far-Left hacks like Wajahat Ali to run to when they platform racists like Rula Jebreal. Oh how the mighty have fallen.

Congressional Black Caucus Condemns Palestinian Journalist Rula Jebreal Over ‘AIPAC Monkey’ Slur Against Hakeem Jeffries

The Congressional Black Caucus condemned Palestinian journalist Rula Jebreal for using “openly bigoted” language after she called House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries an “AIPAC monkey” and an “errand boy.” 

 

“To be clear, there isn’t a non-racist way to call Leader Jeffries, a Black man, a ‘monkey’ or ‘errand boy,’” the caucus said. Addressing podcast host Wajahat Ali, it added: “This is what happens when we hold ourselves to such low standards for what’s allowable in our discourse. People get comfortable being openly bigoted.” 

 

“We have to stop platforming and trafficking in anti-Black racism, whether it’s on the political right or the left,” the group added. Jebreal made the remarks during an appearance on Ali’s “The Left Hook” podcast while attacking Jeffries over his support for Israel. “He is a bought and paid by AIPAC monkey,” she said, immediately adding that she did not mean the comment “in a racist way.” She then described Jeffries as “basically an errand boy.”

There's plenty out there that you can dislike about Hakeem Jeffries, but resorting to racism to disparage him and get your point across is simply egregious and kind of ironic when you consider Jebreal's history of left-wing propaganda. Then too for the podcast host Wajahat Ali--a well-known "progressive", far-Left hack, all-around scumbag and Blue MAGA schmuck--to just sit there and nod his head along while Jebreal veered into racist tropes, makes him just as complicit in this mess. It should also be no surprise too that only after the blowback did Jebreal apologize on Twitter and to Ali (who ironically ran to Joy Reid's horrible podcast afterwards to protect him from all the Democrats ire, where she defended them) for an interview that will certainly hurt the DSA and pro-Palestinian advocates going forward.

Colin Kaepernick Criticizes Jay-Z for 'Serving the Culture Up' to the NFL

Colin Kaepernick said he believes that Jay-Z’s recent comments about him speak to a “guilty conscience,” as the fallout between the former quarterback and the rapper deepens. Kaepernick responded as part of an extensive interview with NBC News after Jay-Z dissed the athlete during a recent concert. In July, Jay-Z took aim at Kaepernick, the former San Francisco 49ers star, mentioning him and his settlement with the NFL in an impromptu rap during a series of concerts at Yankee Stadium. 

 

“They run out of characters, had to bring back up [Kaepernick] again,” Jay-Z said, referring to people who have criticized him for a recent partnership with Target. “Buddy took a check, I ain’t even mad at him, but along with that check you have to sign a non-disparagement. I’m the one [the NFL] can’t control.” 

 

Earlier this year, Jay-Z drew ire when it was announced that he would sell an exclusive version of his “Reasonable Doubt” album at the retailer, which has been subjected to boycotts by Black shoppers after it rolled back its diversity, equity and inclusion practices. Kaepernick, on the other hand, is honoring the boycott despite the potential financial cost. A spokesperson for the former quarterback confirmed he would not be selling his upcoming memoir, “The Perilous Fight,” in Target stores. Target did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Well, dude has a book coming out that he needs to promote so Kaepernick will say pretty much anything to make some sales. Nonetheless, why he's taking shots at Jay-Z, who's done way more in support of Black folks than Kaepernick ever will, much less the fact that Kaepernick has made numerous attempts to get back in the NFL (despite name-calling them every chance he gets) since he last played in the league back in 2016, is just weird and self-defeating.

Lindsay Clancy Defense Lawyer Suggests a Single Juror is Standing in the Way of a Not Guilty Verdict

Lindsay Clancy’s defense attorney Kevin Reddington appeared to suggest on Thursday that a single juror is in the way of a not guilty verdict for Lindsay Clancy. 

 

Reddington addressed the court after Judge William Sullivan called jurors back into the courtroom to reiterate the definition of reasonable doubt. 

 

Reddington said:

The court has an instruction from the foreperson of that jury that’s been working for a week now saying that there’s one juror who refuses to listen to the law that you’ve given him or her on reasonable doubt, and I suggest, respectfully, that the soft instruction that you gave them, saying at the sidebar, can you listen to the law as I instruct you, does not focus on the issue. It is the question is not sufficient enough. 

 

It does not allow any foundation for a motion to remove the juror who refuses to accept your instructions on the law, on reasonable doubt. And if we come back here in a half an hour with a mistrial, because of a juror that has just spurned the instructions of this court, it’s a shame. It’s a real shame. And that’s why I object to the court’s ruling. I request that we have further inquiry. I request that — my motion is to remove this juror that refuses to listen to your instruction on reasonable doubt.

Clancy has been on trial for five weeks to determine if she can be held criminally responsible for killing her three children, Cora, Dawson, and Callan in January 2023. Clancy, who experienced postpartum depression and psychosis, has pleaded not guilty, and her attorney has argued she cannot be held responsible for strangling the children to death due to insanity. 

 

Clancy currently faces five potential outcomes: first-degree murder, second-degree murder, manslaughter, not guilty by reason of insanity, and not guilty.

If what Clancy's lawyer is stating is true then may God give that juror the willpower to hold the forth. Because Lindsay Clancy is a monster and a serial murderer who methodically strangled and killed her children one by one. And the day we allow post-partum depression, etc. to be an excuse to murder your kids is a wreckoning that I can't even begin to comprehend.

2 House Democrats Vote to Rescue the Republican Legislative Agenda

A pair of House Democrats voted to rescue the Republican legislative agenda Tuesday as GOP leaders faced an internal revolt, an extremely rare crossing of party lines that pushed a key procedural vote through a closely divided chamber. 

 

Democratic Reps. Jared Golden of Maine and Marie Gluesenkamp Perez of Washington voted with most Republicans to set up debate on a series of GOP-led bills, including a resolution condemning socialism that party leaders want to use to hammer Democrats on the campaign trail.

The two Democrats were decisive in the 210-208 vote, where five Republicans had broken ranks over frustrations with how party leaders had handled an earlier vote on government spending. While House members routinely cross party lines on legislation, it is almost unheard for minority members to break ranks and vote for the “rules” the majority uses to set the floor agenda. Golden and Gluesenkamp Perez are both members of the moderate Blue Dog Democrats, and Golden is not seeking reelection in November.

Golden and Perez are receiving a ton of backlash from Dems for their votes, but not only do they deserve props for standing up for their constituents, but plenty of praise for representing what's left of the moderate wing of the Democrat party. A section that's literally on life support thanks to the Party's far-Left ideological takeover. Of course, who knows what happens from here, but this is also a huge win for Mike Johnson. And with Democratic leaders effectively surrendering control of the party to the DSA, abandoning centrists while protecting socialists shows a complete lack the courage to challenge the party’s leftward shift.
