Appeals Court Halts Liberal Activist Judge Boasberg Contempt Inquiry Over Venezuelan Deportation Flights

A three-judge panel of the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals on Tuesday halted an effort by U.S. District Court Judge James Boasberg to hold contempt hearings after the Trump administration failed to suspend flights carrying Venezuelan men to be imprisoned in El Salvador. 

 

The administration has already said it was former Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem who last March ordered flights to take 100 Venezuelan men to a notorious megaprison, despite an order from Boasberg ordering the flights grounded or turned around. 

 

The sharply divided rulings put an end to additional fact-finding by Boasberg, who has faced calls for his impeachment by President Trump. While two Trump appointees to the bench sided with the president and chastised Boasberg for not being sufficiently clear in his ruling, an Obama appointee said the ruling would have grave consequences should an administration flout a judge’s orders in the future.

This rebuke from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit marks a real and decisive check on what conservatives have been been railing about since Trump took office again last year: judicial overreach by activist judges like James Boasberg. But more importantly it reinforces a core constitutional principle: judges can't retroactively reinterpret vague or incomplete orders to impose criminal liability. At the heart of the ruling is not ideology, but process as the court made clear that the rule of law depends on clarity, not on a judge’s evolving intent after the fact. Therefore, for those concerned about activist judging, this decision underscores the importance of separation of powers and draws a firm line between the judiciary’s role and executive authority--in other words, Boasberg needs to be impeached, like yesterday.

Wisconsin Judge Found Guilty of Obstructing Federal Immigration Agents in Courthouse Incident

A jury found Milwaukee County Judge Hannah Dugan guilty of obstructing federal immigration agents during an attempt to serve a warrant at a courthouse earlier this year. 

 

She faces up to five years in prison on the felony obstruction count. 

 

Dugan was arrested in April after helping Eduardo Flores-Ruiz avoid plainclothes Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents who were trying to serve him a warrant. Prosecutors said Dugan helped Flores-Ruiz and his attorney exit her courtroom through a back door on April 18, after learning that ICE agents were in the building to arrest him.

Of course, this story hasn't gotten as much play in the mainstream media as it should be and that's obviously due to the Left's misgivings about ICE, who they berate and smear each and every day for doing their job. That said, the fact that a sitting judge would risk losing her career and go to this length to obstruct ICE agents is incredibly brazen and tells you how loony tunes some of these activist judges are when it comes to defying Trump and the law. And that's something conservatives need to think about more and more.

Joe Biden-Appointed Judge Gives 8-Year Sentence to Man Who Plotted to Kill Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh

Sophie Roske, who pleaded guilty earlier this year to attempting to kill Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh in 2022, was sentenced to eight years and one month in jail on Friday, in Greenbelt, Maryland.

Roske was arrested and charged under a male name but now goes by Sophie Roske, according to her defense attorneys. In April, she pleaded guilty to attempting to kill or kidnap a Supreme Court justice. The 97-month sentence was handed down by U.S. District Judge Deborah Boardman, who also ordered a lifetime of supervised release.

The Justice Department will appeal the sentence, said Attorney General Pam Bondi, who called the 97-month prison term "woefully insufficient" and argued it "does not reflect the horrific facts of this case." Prosecutors had asked for a 30-year sentence.

Conveniently enough he decided that he was 'transgender' after the attempted murder of a Supreme Court justice--a thing that's becoming pretty common nowadays. Then of course, an uber-liberal, Biden-appointed judge considered the fact that he now 'identitfies' as a woman into giving him a light sentence.

Appeals Court Slaps Down Activist, Liberal Judge, Upholds 'BBB' Law to Defund Planned Parenthood

A U.S. appeals court panel on Thursday allowed President Donald Trump’s administration to block Medicaid funds to Planned Parenthood while legal challenges continue. 

A federal judge in July ruled Planned Parenthood clinics nationwide must continue to be reimbursed for Medicaid funding as the nation’s largest abortion provider fights Trump’s administration over efforts to defund the organization in his signature tax legislation. 

Planned Parenthood said Thursday’s ruling means that more than 1.1 million patients can’t use their Medicaid insurance at its health centers. That also puts as many as 200 of those health centers at risk of closure, Planned Parenthood said in a statement.

No matter where you stand on abortion and/or Planned Parenthood, one thing's for sure: conservatives better keep an eye out on Judge Indira Talwani: an Obama-appointed, uber-liberal, activist judge willing to defy the GOP at every step (even when it comes to bill's passed by Congress and signed by the President) who clearly sees her utter defiance of the Right as a path to perhaps, the Supreme Court one day. Hell, Judge Talwani is even willing to make up shit (like the OBBB being 'unconstitutional' because it cuts funding for Planned Parenthood) as she goes along if it can get in the GOP's way. Yeah, this chick is dangerous.
