Finnish Study Finds Sharp Rise in Psychiatric Illness Amongst Adolescents Following Sex-Alteration Procedures

A landmark Finnish study of more than 2,000 adolescents has dealt a serious blow to the central promise of the child ‘gender medicine’ movement. Adolescents who undergo sex alteration procedures experience a sharp rise in severe psychiatric illness in the years that follow, a landmark Finnish study has found. 

 

The peer-reviewed study, published this week in Acta Paediatrica found that specialist psychiatric treatment rates rose more than sixfold among males and more than doubled in females after intervention. 

 

Led by Professor Riittakerttu Kaltiala of Tampere University Hospital, the study tracked every young person under 23 who contacted Finland’s nationally centralised gender identity clinics between 1996 and 2019. The cohort of 2,083 individuals was followed for up to 25 years, compared against 16,643 matched population controls. Because Finland’s health registers are mandatory and patients cannot opt out, the dataset captured the complete fate of every gender-referred adolescent in the country over that period.

So basically this study confirms that transgenderism not only leads to a sharp increase in mental illness for kids, but puberty blockers, gender affirmation and sex change procedures massively increase suicide risks in children. But where do we go from here, especially when we see crazy stuff going on around the world like the Australian Supreme court allowing biological men in female-only spaces and states like Massachusetts taking away kids from parents for refusing to affirm their 'trans identity'? After all, the medical community greatly profits from gender-transition treatments for minors while downplaying their potential long-term consequences. Indeed, young people may be told they will be happier and can easily reverse course if they change their minds about 'transitioning', yet some treatments can have lasting effects and require lifelong medical care. Plus, children who later regret these decisions can face severe distress for life, which is more reason why medical professionals who recklessly facilitate such treatments should be held accountable, much less be held criminally liable.

To think, millions of teenage girls already have a hard time with beauty standards, body inage, self-confidence, appearance and fashion ideals and now when attempting to pursue a career in modeling, they now gotta worry about competing against boys. Anti-trans activist and Binary Australia spokesperson Kirralie Smith has been ordered to pay $95,000 in fines and issue a public apology after she was found to have vilified two trans women earlier this year. 

 

On August 23, Deputy Chief Magistrate Sharon Freund found that Smith and Binary Australia- formerly anti-marriage equality group Marriage Alliance- incited hatred and serious contempt for two women, who were targeted after playing football with their local clubs. 

 

It marked the first time someone had been found to have unlawfully vilified a person for being trans under NSW law.

Crazy. Now we've got transgender activists infiltrating the Australian government and, rather than simply coexisting with people who hold different views, pushing policies that dictate how others are expected to speak and think with the consequences being financial penalties for those who refuse to comply. If that's not a combination of censorship and blatant indoctrination, I don't know what is.
