Joy Reid defended left-wing Palestinian journalist Rula Jebreal for branding House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) an “AIPAC monkey,” with the former cable news star arguing Jebreal was just ignorant to how the term could be perceived as racist because she wasn’t born in the USA.Reid backed up Jebreal during the Friday episode of her YouTube show, three days after the now-viral comment was made. “Sometimes even our friends can get it wrong. They can stumble over trying to make a point that maybe there’s a cultural disconnection that causes that point to go askew and go awry,” Reid said.She claimed Jebreal using the term “monkey” to refer to a Black lawmaker was different than if a right-winger had done it, since conservatives tend to be “absolutely malicious.” Instead, Jebreal simply didn’t understand the racial aspect to what she was saying — which made sense, considering she was born in Israel and was of Afro-Palestinian heritage, Reid argued.
First of all, Joy Reid is trash. From her lying back in the day about old blog posts that condemned homosexuality to her MSNBC run where all she did every day was blast Trump and the GOP while never holding Democrats accountable for anything to her getting fired from her job over bad ratings to her foolish and totally dense rant after the 2024 presidential election, claiming that Kamala Harris 'ran a flawless campaogn', Reid has proven to be an insufferable, angry, black tyrant that even the lily-white bosses at MSNOW got tired of and kicked to the curb. Keep in mind too that Reid didn't start talking about the genocide in Gaza until it was convenient, late in the run to the election when she finally started to notice that it could effect Kamala's ability to win. That said, now Reid is back to her old self: plantation Democrat propaganda, blaming everything on the GOP, name-calling anyone who dares to disagree with her (or steps out of line with Democrats) and apparently being go-to OG for far-Left hacks like Wajahat Ali to run to when they platform racists like Rula Jebreal. Oh how the mighty have fallen.
