St. John’s University Student Group Blocks Turning Point USA from Opening Chapter After Charlie Kirk Assassination

NYPost.com:

St. John’s University student government blocked a bid by the late Charlie Kirk’s conservative Turning Point USA group from opening a chapter on campus shortly after his assassination last fall, The Post has learned.

The student government of SJU — one of the largest Catholic universities in the country — denied the application to open a Turning Point chapter months after Kirk was shot dead by a sniper on Sept. 10.

The student government has “sole authority” to approve or deny new organizations, a university spokesperson told The Post on Tuesday. Clubs or organizations looking to open or “revitalize” chapters on campus have to pass a four-round “Power to Organize” process, he added.

Really now, what did Turning Point USA expect? A Catholic university allowing a 'Free speech advocate" but also a borderline racist, having a group on their campus? Yeah, that's as likely as the Jets winning the Super Bowl.

MSNBC Receives Undeserved Backlash For Being the Only Major News Network Not to Air Charlie Kirk Medal of Freedom Ceremony

YahooNews.com:

MSNBC received backlash on Tuesday for being the only major news network not to air the posthumous Medal of Freedom ceremony for Charlie Kirk, who was assassinated last month during an event at Utah Valley University.

While the majority of cable news networks opted to air the White House ceremony, MSNBC was a noticeable exception.

“In a pathetic, biased tantrum, MSNBC—the propaganda arm of the radical left—stands alone as the ONLY network boycotting President Trump’s heroic Medal of Freedom ceremony for Charlie Kirk, proving once again they’re too cowardly to cover real American patriotism,” protested Republican commentator Eric Deters.

This 'backlash' is ridiculous. The idea that MSNBC (or any cable news network for that matter) should face backlash for not airing a ceremony about Charlie Kirk, who wasn’t an elected official or part of the Trump administration, makes no sense. Sure, criticize MSNBC all you want for being a propaganda arm of the Democratic Party, but this isn’t the issue to hang your hat on. In fact, for a network that's so deeply tied to its liberal audience, why would anyone with common sense expect MSNBC to showcase a conservative activist that most of their viewers can’t stand? Smh.

Ta-Nehisi Coates: 'Charlie Kirk Was a Hatemonger'

VanityFair.com:

Before he was killed last week, Charlie Kirk left a helpful compendium of words—ones that would greatly aid those who sought to understand his legacy and import. It is somewhat difficult to match these words with the manner in which Kirk is presently being memorialized in mainstream discourse.

New York Times columnist Ezra Klein dubbed Kirk “one of the era’s most effective practitioners of persuasion” and a man who “was practicing politics in exactly the right way.” California governor Gavin Newsom hailed Kirk’s “passion and commitment to debate,” advising us to continue Kirk’s work by engaging “with each other, across ideology, through spirited discourse.”

Atlantic writer Sally Jenkins saluted Kirk, claiming he “argued with civility” and asserting that his death was “a significant loss for those who believe engagement can help bridge disagreements.” The mentions of “debate” and “engagement” are references to Kirk’s campus tours, during which he visited various colleges to take on whoever come may. That this aspect of Kirk’s work would be so attractive to writers and politicians is understandable.

It’s no secret that Charlie Kirk trafficked in racist rhetoric at times, particularly during his associations with openly bigoted figures like Matt Walsh and Steven Crowder. That said, if you're going to label a self-proclaimed Christian like Kirk a "hatemonger," you need to cite concrete examples rather than rely on ad hominem attacks. Otherwise, you risk sounding like one of the many so-called race-baiters who exploit racial issues for personal or political gain, regardless of whether the racism in question is real or exaggerated. That said, with the recent Ezra Klein vs. Ta-Nehisi Coates discourse trending online, I think Klein (a committed liberal) has a point. After what happened last November, he seems to believe that Democrats need to take a page from Kirk’s playbook: start engaging with political opponents to find areas of common ground, rather than relying solely on anti-Trump rhetoric as a campaign strategy.

Disney Bringing Back Jimmy Kimmel's Show After Suspension Over Host's Remarks on Charlie Kirk

FOXNews.com:

ABC’s "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" will return on Tuesday after a brief suspension, The Walt Disney Company has announced.

"Last Wednesday, we made the decision to suspend production on the show to avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for our country. It is a decision we made because we felt some of the comments were ill-timed and thus insensitive. We have spent the last days having thoughtful conversations with Jimmy, and after those conversations, we reached the decision to return the show on Tuesday," a Disney spokesperson told Fox News Digital.

Kimmel's late-night show was pulled off the air last Wednesday after Kimmel's remarks about the alleged assassin of Charlie Kirk sparked outrage and a veiled threat from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Disney decided to suspend the show after two major affiliate owners pulled airings of Kimmel from their stations, and Kimmel reportedly had told executives he would not apologize for his comments.

So if Trump gets all the credit for 'firing' Kimmel, he gets all the credit for 'hiring' him back, right? That said, considering how much all these late-night 'comedians" work as shills for the Democrat party, it's no wonder Trump and co. hates Kimmel's guts and wanted him gone.

ABC Suspends Jimmy Kimmel’s Late-Night Show 'Indefinitely' Over Charlie Kirk Lies

CNBC.com:

ABC on Wednesday pulled “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” off the air “indefinitely” over its host’s controversial comments linking the alleged killer of conservative activist Charlie Kirk to President Donald Trump’s MAGA movement.

Trump praised the move, which came hours after Federal Communications Commission Chair Brendan Carr suggested that ABC’s broadcast license was at risk because of Kimmel’s remarks. ABC is a subsidiary of Disney.

Just before ABC’s announcement, Nexstar Media Group said that its stations that are affiliated with ABC would preempt Kimmel’s show “for the foreseeable future beginning with tonight’s show” because of the host’s statements. Nexstar is seeking FCC approval for its planned $6.2 billion merger with Tegna.

How do you get liberals to look past and whitewash your notorious history of wearing blackface and glorified misogyny on 'The Man Show'? By going the Howard Stern route and shilling for Democrats 24/7. Which means spreading Democrat propaganda, smearing conservatives, wishing death on the unvaxxed, laughing when cons like Tucker Carlson lose their job, hating on President Trump and the GOP every day and finally, purposely lying about Charlie Kirk's killer being a member of MAGA. But unfortunately for Jimmy Kimmel there's a new regime in town and his cockamamie grift has come to an end.

Karma Catches Up To WaPo Writer, Blue Sky Liberal & Professional Race Baiter Karen Attiah

Mediaite.com:

Details of The Washington Post’s decision to fire longtime columnist Karen Attiah are coming into focus after the release of an HR letter late Monday that accused her of “gross misconduct” and unspecified “performance concerns,” declaring the paper could “not tolerate the risk” she posed.

Attiah revealed Monday via SubStack that she had been dismissed by the newspaper for social media posts about the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, but argued the posts in question were measured and focused not on Kirk but on growing tolerance for political violence.

“Charges without evidence, which I reject completely as false,” she wrote.

The story here isn't about Attiah's feelings on Charlie Kirk, which she has every right to have. But to misquote the guy, have a Blue Sky (a platform that's a literal cesspool for sheer and utter hatred towards conservatives...only) and have a history of breaking the journalistic standards of your employer, is just begging to be fired.

Office Depot in Portage, MI, Fires Employee Over Refusal to Print Charlie Kirk Vigil Poster

WWMT.com:
A video out of Portage is going viral following a controversial exchange at the Office Depot on South Westnedge Avenue Friday night.

It centers around the late Republican political activist, Charlie Kirk.

In the video, a customer asks to print a poster of Kirk for a vigil that took place at Bronson Park in downtown Kalamazoo earlier in the evening. The employee involved in the video, who says they're the manager on duty, refused to print the poster because of its political nature.

The footage has caught the attention of some Michigan lawmakers, including Senate Minority Leader Aric Nesbitt and Republican Congressman Bill Huizenga.
No matter how much hate one might have Charlie Kirk, how dumb could you be to pull something like this and risk losing your job? And it wasn't just one employee, but TWO of them. Indeed, one of the best piece's of advice I ever got was not to bring politics and religion to work.

Charlie Kirk and the Real Cost of Political Extremism

NYTimes.com:

The authorities in Utah were searching early Thursday for the person who killed Charlie Kirk, the charismatic founder of the nation’s pre-eminent right-wing youth activist group, after questioning and releasing two people.

No suspects were in custody about 12 hours after Mr. Kirk, a close ally of President Trump, was shot while speaking on a Utah college campus in what the state’s Republican governor, Spencer Cox, and Mr. Trump described as an “assassination.”

Hopes for the fast capture of the person who fatally shot the right-wing activist Charlie Kirk in Utah evaporated on Wednesday when Kash Patel, the F.B.I. director, announced that the authorities had released a man he had described as a central subject of a multiagency manhunt.

Charlie Kirk built his reputation as a combative conservative voice who was part debater, part provocateur, never one to shy away from confrontation. But he was also a deeply polarizing figure, often accused of making inflammatory and, at times, overtly racist remarks. In the wake of his shocking murder, reactions have split predictably along political lines: some mourn, others celebrate. Yet, beyond the noise, one heartbreaking fact remains: two young girls have lost their father. And if you're someone consumed by political extremism, chances are, that simple human tragedy doesn't matter to you at all.
