Democrat Haley Stevens Throws Her Support Behind Republican Mike Rogers Senate Rcae

USAToday.com:

Michigan Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed's former Democratic primary foe endorsed Republican nominee Mike Rogers Sunday, heightening tensions in the tight battleground race days ahead of the midterm elections. Rep. Haley Stevens, who represents areas outside of Detroit, gave her endorsement to Rogers after appearing with him at an area church service. The move could create challenges for Democrats, who had a slight edge in the critical contest in recent polls.

"I do not belong in Abdul’s campaign," Stevens said in a social media video. Asked about the endorsement, El-Sayed said he was less interested in the campaign back-and-forth than on the cost of living and other issues: "I actually don't think about Haley Stevens," he told reporters.

Across the country, Democrats and Republicans are making their final pitches to voters ahead of Tuesday’s elections, which will decide who controls Congress for President Donald Trump’s final two years in office.

funny how upset the Libs and the msm are now with Rep. Stevens. After all, it's always 'courageous' when a Republican breaks rank with their party and sides with the Democrats--just ask Liz Cheney. Also in this case, if Stevens main reasoning for supporting Rogers is because she views El-Sayde as an 'anti-semite' perhaps he should've done a better job on the campaign trail proving he isn't one.

Congressional Black Caucus Condemns Palestinian Journalist Rula Jebreal Over ‘AIPAC Monkey’ Slur Against Hakeem Jeffries

i24News.com:

The Congressional Black Caucus condemned Palestinian journalist Rula Jebreal for using “openly bigoted” language after she called House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries an “AIPAC monkey” and an “errand boy.”

“To be clear, there isn’t a non-racist way to call Leader Jeffries, a Black man, a ‘monkey’ or ‘errand boy,’” the caucus said. Addressing podcast host Wajahat Ali, it added: “This is what happens when we hold ourselves to such low standards for what’s allowable in our discourse. People get comfortable being openly bigoted.”

“We have to stop platforming and trafficking in anti-Black racism, whether it’s on the political right or the left,” the group added. Jebreal made the remarks during an appearance on Ali’s “The Left Hook” podcast while attacking Jeffries over his support for Israel. “He is a bought and paid by AIPAC monkey,” she said, immediately adding that she did not mean the comment “in a racist way.” She then described Jeffries as “basically an errand boy.”

There's plenty out there that you can dislike about Hakeem Jeffries, but resorting to racism to disparage him and get your point across is simply egregious and kind of ironic when you consider Jebreal's history of left-wing propaganda. Then too for the podcast host Wajahat Ali--a well-known "progressive", far-Left hack, all-around scumbag and Blue MAGA schmuck--to just sit there and nod his head along while Jebreal veered into racist tropes, makes him just as complicit in this mess. It should also be no surprise too that only after the blowback did Jebreal apologize on Twitter and to Ali (who ironically ran to Joy Reid's horrible podcast afterwards to protect him from all the Democrats ire, where she defended them) for an interview that will certainly hurt the DSA and pro-Palestinian advocates going forward.

CNN Political Commentator Van Jones Has Had Enough of Progressives Shoving “Crazy Ideas” Down Democrats’ Throats

Mediaite.com:

Van Jones let it all hang out on his Substack Saturday, posting a lengthy message in which he slammed left-wing activists as “party poopers” who were “pooping in the Kool-Aid bowl and telling us that the turds are ice cubes.” “Supporting Hamas is not progressive. ‘No police, no prisons, no borders’ is not progressive. Celebrating the murder of Israeli civilians is not progressive. These ideas are REGRESSIVE,” Jones insisted.

The rant comes as Democratic Socialist candidates have had recent election victories in New York City and Colorado, where Melat Kiros recently ousted 15-term incumbent Rep. Diana DeGette (D-CO). “I am tired of a set of people on the very far left in the Democratic party, my party, telling us that in order for us to be progressives that we now have to believe ideas and support ideas that are completely nuts,” he said.

“I am a progressive Democrat,” Jones declared, outlining a set of priorities including universal health care, free education, the Green New Deal, and the environment as “our ideals as progressives.” He then slammed ideas put forth by some socialists, including that “we can’t deport anybody even if they commit rape and murder, Israel shouldn’t exist — these are terrible ideas. These are awful ideas. Where did these ideas even come from?

Of course, Van's going to receive plenty of backlash for these comments from the usual professional race-baiters and exterem white liberals on the Left. But they already don't like him for sometimes being a practical voice of reason with centrist views in a sea full of radical extremists. Not that Jones should give a f-ck anyway, esp. since he's been in the game for so long that the cable news networks will continue to platform him regardless. Besides, someone's gotta remind these fools that ass-backwards policies like boys using girls' bathrooms, opening the border and police abolition lack common sense and outside of Blue states only hurt the Democrat party.

Jasmine Crockett Revives the Identity Politics Apology Playbook...with Help from Bowen Yang

TheDailyBeast.com:

Comedians Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers are backpedaling after facing backlash over their comments about Rep. Jasmine Crockett. The Las Culturistas podcast hosts had discussed various politicians on an episode of their show published on Jan. 8.

During a segment of “I Don’t Think So Honey,” which features a one-minute rant about culture, Rogers had ripped into California Gov. Gavin Newsom, saying that he needed to get vocal surgery if he wanted to run for president.

The co-host said that he was turned off “anytime a politician is making it too obviously about themselves.” This remark led into his discussion about Crockett, who is running for Senate in Texas. Two days after the podcast episode aired, the podcasters issued apologies. Yang promised to use his platform “more responsibly,” and Rogers vowed to “be more thoughtful.”

From a practical standpoint, apologizing for criticizing a politician should never happen. After all, politicians work for the public and should never be above scrutiny. Identity politics, however, changes that dynamic. Because regardless of the fact that Jasmine Crockett is pro-Israel, widely criticized as lacking substantive policy initiatives, and best known for publicly berating Donald Trump on the daily, any negative commentary about her risks being reframed as sexist and/or misogynistic rather than political disagreement. In this environment, criticism (as Stephen A. Smith found out recently) is no longer evaluated on its merits but filtered through identity, discouraging open debate and forcing a couple of progressive, gay white liberals to say sorry.
