Brittney Griner Splits from Wife Cherelle, Who Helped Win Her Release from Russia

People.com:

Brittney Griner and wife Cherelle Griner are ending their marriage. The WNBA star, 35, filed for divorce in Fulton County, Ga. on Thursday, July 30, according to court records obtained by PEOPLE.

The couple have been married since June 2018, and have been separated since July 24, 2026, according to the court documents. Previous news reports stated the two have been married since 2019.

Brittney, the petitioner in the divorce, called their union “irretrievably broken.” She and Cherelle, 33, who met when they were students at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, share a two-year-old son, Bash. In the filing, Brittney is seeking joint legal custody.

Lesbians have the highest rate of divorces and domestic violence incidents of any demographic. So it shouldn't surprise anyone (esp. when the words 'irretrievably broken' are used) if Cherelle found out Brittney was cheating on her with some WNBA (a cesspool for lesbo relationships) chick and put some hands on her 'wife' afterwards. After all, despite the size difference and considering everything Cherrelle did to get Brittney outta that Russia prison soem yers back, it's always the quiet one's you gotta look out for.

Kouri Richins Sentenced to Life in Prison Without Parole for the Murder of Her Husband

NYTimes.com:

A Utah mother of three, who wrote a children’s book about grief after murdering her husband, received a sentence of life in prison without parole on Wednesday.

Kouri Richins, 36, also faced convictions and consecutive sentences on four other charges — attempted murder, two counts of falsifying insurance claims and one count of forgery.

“A person convicted of those things is simply too dangerous to ever be free,” Judge Richard Mrazik said. Prosecutors had argued that Ms. Richins had poisoned her husband, Eric Richins, in 2022 to inherit more than $4 million from him and receive about $2 million from life insurance policies that she had opened without his knowledge.

Nice to see a just sentence for murder as the judge cited the severity and calculated nature of the crime as reasons why Richins should never be free again. Of course, this dastardly evil woman will appeal, but for now the world is a better place with Richins locked up.

ABC Pulls Taylor Frankie Paul's 'Bachelorette' Season After Domestic Violence Incident Surfaces

Yahoo.com:

The Bachelorette has been put on hold as the falling out between Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen continues to unfold. The ABC reality series, which was set to premiere on Sunday, March 22, has been removed from the schedule, and the network has not indicated whether it will air at a later date.

“In light of the newly released video that surfaced today, we have made the decision not to move forward with the new season of The Bachelorette at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family,” a spokesperson for Disney Entertainment Television told Yahoo in a statement.

The news comes shortly after TMZ published a video from a 2023 fight between Paul and Mortensen — an incident that appears to be the same one that led to Paul’s arrest at the time. The footage is separate from the alleged domestic dispute in February that prompted the current investigation.

Confess to being a huge 'Bachelor' franchise fan some years back, that is before it got too woke and unserious (people just on there to get their 15 minutes of fame as opposed to finding love) for me. But wow, a whole, entire season being cancelled is to my knowledge, unprecedented territory for a TV show that has certainly dealt with many trials and tribulations in the past, only to still survive like 20-plus years. But I disgress as 3 things stand out about this Taylor Frankie Paul drama: 1) the lack of vetting (esp. when it comes to domestic abuse) by ABC 2) that it's a woman who was being abusive towards a man, in front of her no less and 3) a 'Bachelor' franchise that normally picks its lead from runner-ups on the previous season, switching up and picking a crazy mother of 3 from one of the network's other shows. And can we also talk a little bit about pretty privilege as being a factor here? Yeah, I don't think ABC had any choice but to cancel the season, despite the tens of millions of dollars they'll lose by doing so. Nonetheless, in the future it might be better to just go back to the old format and pick a lead from a previous season.

Maryland Official Releases Man with No Bail Who Returns One Hour Later to Assault Same Woman

FOXNews.com:

A Maryland man who was released from jail with no bail requirement after allegedly beating up a woman went back to the victim's home and assaulted her again, according to officials.

James Bowman III, 40, was arrested Nov. 7 in Waldorf, Maryland, for domestic-related assault after he allegedly punched a woman in the face and bit her hand, according to the Charles County Sheriff's Office.

A district court commissioner released Bowman from the Charles County Detention Center on his own recognizance following his arrest, meaning he didn't have to post bail.

Bowman III, 40, was arrested on November 7 for allegedly biting and punching a woman during a domestic violence incident. Somehow, he was released six hours later without bail on the condition that he not harm her again. Yet, less than an hour after his release, Bowman returned to the location and allegedly attacked the same woman while she was holding a toddler. Police say he struck the child in the forehead and beat the woman senseless and then was subsequently charged with assault and child abuse and is now being held without bail. Unbelievable. Yet, funny too that despite claims from most liberals and BLM activists that Black men are disproportionately imprisoned due to racial bias, there are also so many cases in which offenders are repeatedly released or not held accountable for multiple prior crimes, suggesting a pattern of lenient treatment rather than racial targeting. But no one wants to talk about that.
