Adam Schiff Walks Right Into Bill Maher’s Trap With Trump Quote Fakeout

Mediaite.com:

Bill Maher slapped Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA) with a gotcha moment after he got him to critique a statement from former President Barack Obama, while the lawmaker thought it was from President Donald Trump.

“This statement from the administration: ‘The president had the constitutional authority to direct the use of military force because he could reasonably determine that such use of force was in the national interest.’ That too vague for you?” Maher asked Schiff on Friday’s Real Time.

“Totally vague,” Schiff said. “Okay, because that’s from Obama about Libya,” Maher said. The 2011 statement from the administration reads: “The President had the constitutional authority to direct the use of military force in Libya because he could reasonably determine that such use of force was in the national interest.”

This is so good because you can see Schiff's face light up at the idea of going off on presidetial authority to use the military when he thinks Trump made the quote, before changing the subject once he realizes it was actually Obama. But then Schiff wouldn't be lying, corrupt weasel of a politician if it wasn't so easy to make him look like a fool.

Liberal Pundit Van Jones Forced To Apologize For Calling “Dead Gaza Baby” Videos A “Disinformation Campaign”

Deadline.com:

Van Jones is walking back recent comments he made about the casualties left by the Israel-Hamas war.

After appearing Friday on Real Time with Bill Maher, during which he referred to online videos of dead babies killed in Palestine as a massive “disinformation campaign” on behalf of Iran and Qatar, the CNN host apologized on social media.

“I made a comment on Real Time with Bill Maher about the war in Gaza that was insensitive and hurtful. I apologize,” he wrote on X.

Of course, context matters. And it’s also worth noting that Jones, though a staunch liberal, has a history of frustrating his own side. As he’s one of the few left-leaning commentators willing to speak uncomfortable truths and call out liberals when they misstep or lose elections. That said, watching the full Maher segment makes it clear that Jones had a point--there is occasional misinformation about the war in Gaza coming from the Left. And he wasn’t wrong to suggest that, for some “Genocide in Gaza” protesters, the movement can feel more like a social trend or a way to stay aligned with the in-crowd than a genuine act of activism.

Federal Gov't Denies Claims of Genocide Against Christians in Nigeria

VanguardNGR.com:

The Federal Government has strongly refuted recent allegations by some international platforms and online commentators suggesting that terrorists operating in Nigeria are engaged in a systematic genocide against Christians.

In a statement issued on Sunday by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, the government described the claims as “false, baseless, despicable, and divisive,” insisting that they misrepresent the country’s complex security challenges.

According to the Minister, portraying Nigeria’s fight against terrorism as a targeted campaign against a particular religious group oversimplifies the situation and risks fueling division along ethnic and religious lines. “The violent activities of terrorist groups are not confined to any religious or ethnic community. Muslims, Christians, and even those who do not identify with any faith have suffered at their hands,” Idris said.

This what upsets me about about the pro-Palestianian protestors and an msm that's finally starting to platform them only because Kamala lost: this year alone more Christians have been killed in Nigeria than Palestinians in Gaza, yet not a single protest or mention in the msm for them.
