Liberal New York Times Writer Wants Sophie Cunningham Fired for Believing Men Shouldn't Play in Women's Sports

FOXNews.com:

"If the Fever ever want to go back to being a basketball team again and follow the lead of rivals openly clashing with the forces trying to hijack their league, then (Sophie) Cunningham has to go."

- The Athletic's Candace Buckner

There's a great deal of media that truly despises Cunningham and her supporters. The soon-to-be WNBA free agent is likely the second-most popular player in the league, and perhaps the least popular in certain circles of the press. She's pretty. She speaks out against some of the media's most sacred issues and cows. And she truly does not care what critics think. That's a combo that will quickly put your mug on a journalist's dartboard.

Tuesday morning, Buckner was the latest to attack Cunningham in a column that was as hostile as it was hyperbolic. Her thesis was that the "combustible" guard had become too much of a distraction for the Fever to prioritize basketball. "This was the season when the Fever and even the whole Caitlin Clark experience took a backseat to a bench player with big opinions," Buckner wrote.

For daring to take on the stance that biological men shouldn't be playing in women's sports, Sophie Cunningham is vilified by the Godless Left. And oh yeah, she's cute, white and plays professional basketball for a living, which makes her even more hated by black liberals who can't stand a straight, white conservative woman speaking up in a league dominated by hyper-sexual black lesbians who carry big dildos in their duffel bags and sleep each other when they're not playing ball. After all. it's THEIR league and the Sophie Cunningham's of the world should just shut up and dribble, while being eternally grateful that they even let her play in their morally bankrupt cesspool.

New York Times Sued for Discriminating Against White Man Passed Over for Promotion

APNews.com:

A federal civil rights agency filed a discrimination lawsuit Tuesday against the New York Times, claiming that the news organization passed over a white male employee for a promotion in favor of a lesser qualified woman to meet its diversity goals. The New York Times called the lawsuit politically motivated and said it would defend itself “vigorously.”

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission filed the lawsuit Tuesday on behalf of a New York Times editor who lodged a complaint after he didn’t get the role of deputy real estate editor in 2025, alleging gender and racial discrimination under Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, which prohibits employment discrimination on the basis of sex, race, national origin or religion.

The EEOC claimed the news organization’s publicly stated goals of increasing the number of women and people of color in its leadership ranks influenced the decision to exclude the white male applicant for a final round of interviews, while advancing three women and a Black man.

Of course, there’s tremendous irony here considering that DEI policies have often been criticized for disproportionately benefiting white women. Either way, while white men still largely dominate corporate promotions and board seats, it’s often white men (like this guy) lower on the corporate ladder who end up feeling the greatest impact. That said, the most practical solution would obviously be a performance-based meritocracy, though whether corporations will ever fully embrace that approach remains to be seen.

CBS News Names Former New York Times Writer Bari Weiss as Editor-in-Chief

Politico.com:

Bari Weiss, co-founder and CEO of The Free Press, has been appointed CBS News’ editor-in-chief, Paramount announced on Monday. The Free Press will now operate under the company as well.

It’s a major move from the company, which merged with Skydance Corp. in August under CEO David Ellison. Under Ellison, the company has made several strategic acquisitions and is reportedly exploring acquiring Warner Bros. Discovery.

“This move is part of Paramount’s bigger vision to modernize content and the way it connects – directly and passionately – to audiences around the world,” Ellison said in a statement. “We believe the majority of the country longs for news that is balanced and fact-based, and we want CBS to be their home.”

Although she's really a centrist (if you bothered to read her Substack blog you'd already know this), Weiss is more known for being a Zionist, calling out cancel culture and for being anti-woke, so of course the Left is having a collective hissyfit over this hire. Be interesting to see what if any big names she brings on to CBS like say a Matt Taibbi or Glenn Greenwald.

Office Depot in Portage, MI, Fires Employee Over Refusal to Print Charlie Kirk Vigil Poster

WWMT.com:
A video out of Portage is going viral following a controversial exchange at the Office Depot on South Westnedge Avenue Friday night.

It centers around the late Republican political activist, Charlie Kirk.

In the video, a customer asks to print a poster of Kirk for a vigil that took place at Bronson Park in downtown Kalamazoo earlier in the evening. The employee involved in the video, who says they're the manager on duty, refused to print the poster because of its political nature.

The footage has caught the attention of some Michigan lawmakers, including Senate Minority Leader Aric Nesbitt and Republican Congressman Bill Huizenga.
No matter how much hate one might have Charlie Kirk, how dumb could you be to pull something like this and risk losing your job? And it wasn't just one employee, but TWO of them. Indeed, one of the best piece's of advice I ever got was not to bring politics and religion to work.
