A Virginia judge on Wednesday paused the certification of referendum results that would lead to redrawing the state's congressional map.
Virginians approved a measure on Tuesday to change district lines, possibly helping Democrats win control of the US House of Representatives in the midterm elections.
The court deemed the new map and the bill that triggered it unconstitutional, following a lawsuit from the Republican National Committee. The state has said it will appeal.
The only goal of the Democrats, should they take back back the House in November, is to impeach Trump/ Everybody knows this and from Barack Obama to the lying scumbag that is VA Governor Abigail Spanberger to Hakeem Jeffries, they have been very open about it--which makes this gerrymandering move even more wrong. Not just because, as the judge states here it goes against the VA Constitution, but also becasue Democrats shouldn't have to rely on redistricting to win. But for a party that only talks about their sheer hatred for everything Trump (instead of Medicare 4 All, raising the federal minimum wage, fighting crime, etc.) Democrats would rather engage in scorched-earth tactics, lose the moral high ground and undermine our political system than work on an agenda that speaks to working-class voters.
