Medicare for All Backers Argue It’s a Better Solution Than Whatever President Trump Is Cooking Up

As President Donald Trump postpones unveiling his supposed plan to tackle soaring US healthcare costs—reportedly after pushback from congressional Republicans—Medicare for All advocates have renewed calls for shifting to a single-payer system. “Republicans have a million ideas regarding healthcare. Except one,” Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), who caucuses with Democrats, said on social media Monday afternoon. “They will never acknowledge that healthcare is a human right—to be guaranteed to ALL.” 

 

The union National Nurses United also called for Medicare for All on Monday, pointing to a recent West Health/Gallup poll that found 47% of US adults are worried they won’t be able to afford healthcare next year, the highest level since they began tracking in 2021. 

 

“The urgency around this is real,” West Health president Timothy Lash told NBC News. “When you look at the economic strain that is on families right now, even if healthcare prices didn’t rise, the costs are rising elsewhere, which only exacerbates the problem.”

Of course, when it comes to messaging, Republicans face a major problem on healthcare: despite years spent trying to dismantle Obamacare, the GOP still doesn’t have a replacement plan. And with premiums expected to skyrocket once Obamacare expires at the end of the year, the lack of any viable alternative leaves the GOP in a politically disastrous position as well as a bleak outlook for them as they head into next year’s midterms.

President Trump Shocks with Earnest Praise of NYC Mayor-Elect Zohran Mamdani: He’s Going to ‘Surprise’ Conservatives

During a Friday presser from the White House’s Oval Office, President Donald Trump offered some rare kind words to New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani after their meeting, saying, “I think he is gonna surprise some conservative people, actually.” 

 

Responding to the first question of the presser, from the New York Post’s Steven Nelson, Trump said, “He’s got views that are, uhh, out there, but who knows? I mean, we’re gonna see what works. He’s gonna change, also. We all change. I changed a lot from when I first came to office.” 

 

“We had discussions on some things,” continued Trump. “I feel very confident that he can do a very good job. I think he is gonna surprise some conservative people, actually. And some very liberal people he won’t surprise, because they already like him,” the president concluded, with a glance and smile to Mamdani.

Of course, if you're an MSNBC-obsessed, Trump-hating gold-card member of The Resistance, you were furious that Mamdani met with Trump at all. As anything short of the NYC mayor-elect marching into the White House, screaming “fascist” a hundred times, and storming out in triumph feels highly disappointing. But if you're a practical person who actually cares about the needs of working-class voters, you know Mamdani did the right thing. After all, judging from his meeting Mamdani seems to understand that comparing Trump to Hitler helps none of the 10-plus million people he’ll soon represent, and that meeting with the President doesn’t compromise his principles. As he can  now call out the administration whenever it puts politics over people—especially in areas where they disagree. In other words, Mamdani’s playing the long game over the short one, which is what smart politicians do.

Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene Says She'll Resign in January After Rift with Trump

Marjorie Taylor Greene has announced she will resign from office, an unexpected turn for the high-profile Republican. One of Donald Trump's Maga superstars and staunchest defenders, the Georgia congresswoman's relentless calls for releasing files related to late paedophile Jeffrey Epstein and recent criticism of some of his policies led to a bitter public feud. 

 

After the US president labelled her a "traitor", she said in a video announcing her departure: "I refuse to be a 'battered wife' hoping it all goes away and gets better." 

 

Trump, who had threatened to support a Republican challenger to unseat Greene, called her resignation "great news for the country" in an interview with ABC News.

While this move surprised political pundits everywhere, it was certainly contrived and tactical. First, MTG picked a date that comes two after her Congressional pension kicks in. Secondly, by resigning one year into a two-year term, she leaves the GOP and Mike Johnson with an even thinner hold on the House of Representatives. third, whether it's as a :conservative pundit" on MSNBC, CNN or even "The View", unless she still against the odds and runs for a Senate or Governor's seat, even with her resignation MTG ain't leaving the spotlight anytime soon. Lastly, after years of calling MTG every nasty name in the book, imagine being a liberal today looking for MTG to be the face of the anti-Trump resistance after her and Trump parted ways, being sad and so disappointed that MTG is leaving Congress--shwos you once again that liberals will embrace just about anyone who opposes Trump, even people they once viewed as their mortal enemy.

President Trump and Zohran Mamdani Will Meet at White House on Friday

Zohran Mamdani, who ran for mayor of New York City in part on a promise to stand up to President Trump, will meet with the president at the White House on Friday, weeks before taking office. Mr. Trump announced the meeting on social media on Wednesday night, saying that Mr. Mamdani had asked for it and labeling him incorrectly as the “Communist Mayor of New York City.” Mr. Mamdani is a democratic socialist. 

 

Mr. Mamdani, who has fiercely criticized the president’s immigration policies and threats to cut federal funding to the city, confirmed the meeting in a statement. He said in an interview on MS NOW on Wednesday night that his team had reached out to speak to Mr. Trump about New Yorkers’ concerns. 

 

“I want to just speak plainly to the president about what it means to actually stand up for New Yorkers and the way in which New Yorkers are struggling to afford this city,” Mr. Mamdani said.

You just know that this meeting with Trump is making Mamdani stans nervous, especially when word has it that the NYC mayor-elect is already walking back some campaign promises after getting guidance from political insiders. Then too is the fact that a city (no matter how large) mayor only has so much power at their disposal. There's also Mamdani (to his fans chagrin) recently choosing to bring back NYPD commish Jennifrer Tisch and the fact that NY's current governor (who'll play a huge part in Mamdani's proposed policies getting through) Kathy Hochul is in a tight race poll-wise with Elise Stefanik for who's going to be the next governor of the state. In other words, it's already looking like all the pre-election hyperbole about Mamdani turning NYC into a 'communist-state' if he wins, might have been overblown.

Nicki Minaj Calls for Protections for Christians in Nigeria at UN Event

Rapper Nicki Minaj took up President Donald Trump’s allegations that Christians are persecuted in Nigeria, saying Tuesday at a United Nations event organized by the U.S. that she wants to shine a spotlight on “the deadly threat.” 

Trump has said Christianity faces an “existential threat” in Nigeria and has told the Pentagon to begin preparing for possible military action in the West African nation. Experts and residents say some attacks target Christians, but most emphasize that in the widespread violence that has long plagued the West African nation, everyone is a potential victim, regardless of background or belief. 

The Trinidadian-born Minaj thanked Trump for his leadership and for calling for urgent action “to defend Christians in Nigeria, to combat extremism and to bring a stop to violence against those who simply want to exercise their natural right to freedom of religion or belief.” 

So basically, conservatives traded Candace Owens for Nicki Minaj. Jokes aside, with ongoing reports of Christian genocide in Nigeria, Nicki appears to be on the right side of this issue. Naturally, as sure as night follows day, she’ll face backlash from the usual Trump-haters for “siding with the enemy.” But Nicki is already mega-rich, and her legion of devoted 'Barbz' would follow her to the gates of hell if asked, so public outrage isn’t likely to faze her. The real question now is--Nicki or no Nicki--how serious Trump actually is about putting an end to these killings.

'Low IQ' Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett Picks the Wrong 'Epstein' While Making Claims About Republican Donors

Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett was called out for dropping the names of a series of Republicans who took donations from Jeffrey Epstein, but she got the wrong Jeffrey Epstein. 

 

The Texas lawmaker and rising star of the Democratic Party was speaking on the House floor on Tuesday when she commented. “Folks who also took money from somebody named Jeffrey Epstein, as I had my team dig in very quickly: Mitt Romney, the NRCC, Lee Zeldin, George Bush, Win Red, McCain-Palin, Rick Lazio,” Crockett stated. 

 

Her remarks came as the House was considering the censure of Del. Stacey Plaskett for texting with the disgraced financier. “If this is the standard that we’re going to make, just know we’re going to expose it all and just know that the FEC filings, they are available for everybody to review,” she added.

So Crockett attacks EPA head Zeldin for receiving money from one "Jeffrey Epstein"--but it was actually a different Jeffrey Epstein, a NY doctor. To be fair, I wouldn't chalk this up to being stupid, but undeniably lazy instead as basic research could've shown the difference. Of course, Crockett is such an unhinged, hater of all things Republicans that it's always possible that she knew that she got the wrong Epstein before her speech and tried to defame Zeldin anyway--which would warrant a defamation suit. But nah, she ain't that dumb, right?

Maryland Official Releases Man with No Bail Who Returns One Hour Later to Assault Same Woman

A Maryland man who was released from jail with no bail requirement after allegedly beating up a woman went back to the victim's home and assaulted her again, according to officials.

James Bowman III, 40, was arrested Nov. 7 in Waldorf, Maryland, for domestic-related assault after he allegedly punched a woman in the face and bit her hand, according to the Charles County Sheriff's Office.

A district court commissioner released Bowman from the Charles County Detention Center on his own recognizance following his arrest, meaning he didn't have to post bail.

Bowman III, 40, was arrested on November 7 for allegedly biting and punching a woman during a domestic violence incident. Somehow, he was released six hours later without bail on the condition that he not harm her again. Yet, less than an hour after his release, Bowman returned to the location and allegedly attacked the same woman while she was holding a toddler. Police say he struck the child in the forehead and beat the woman senseless and then was subsequently charged with assault and child abuse and is now being held without bail. Unbelievable. Yet, funny too that despite claims from most liberals and BLM activists that Black men are disproportionately imprisoned due to racial bias, there are also so many cases in which offenders are repeatedly released or not held accountable for multiple prior crimes, suggesting a pattern of lenient treatment rather than racial targeting. But no one wants to talk about that.

Ignorant, Entitled, Rich Woman Michelle Obama Says the Country is ‘Not Ready for a Woman’ President

Former first lady Michelle Obama said at a recent event that the US isn’t ready for a woman president, pointing to former Vice President Kamala Harris’ unsuccessful bid for the White House last year. 

 

“As we saw in this past election, sadly, we ain’t ready,” Obama said in response to a question from actor Tracee Ellis Ross on whether there has been enough “room” created for a woman president. 

 

“That’s why I’m like, don’t even look at me about running ‘cause you all are lying. You’re not ready for a woman,” Obama told Ellis Ross. “We got a lot of growing up to do and there’s still … a lot of men who do not feel like they can be led by a woman and we saw it.” Obama’s conversation with Ellis Ross took place in Brooklyn, New York, to promote her new book, “The Look,” which is about her approach to fashion and politics during her and former President Barack Obama’s time in the White House. The conversation was posted online on Friday.

Well, even tho I voted for Jill Stein last year, according to Michelle Obama I still must be 'sexist'. Oh wait, my bad, since Michelle O loves to do the identity politics thing, she must have also been alluding to the idea that anyone who didn't vote for Kamala in the 2024 election is racist as well. Gotcha. So if you voted on general principle or for the candidate that best represented the policies that you support and believe in instead of Kamala Harris--a vacuous, genocide-supporting candidate who offered nothing meaningful on living wage, healthcare, affordability, crime, jobs and illegal immigration and campaigned with a warmonger like Liz Cheney--according to Michelle YOU'RE the problem. With all due respect to the former 1st Lady: go back to your $15M estate in Martha's Vineyard and STFU. And maybe stay there until you're ready to be interviewed by a real journalist who'll actually challenge your whiny, elite ass.

Texas A&M Adopts Policy Requiring Professors To Get Ok From School President to Discuss Certain Race and Gender Issues

Texas A&M University System regents unanimously voted Thursday to approve a new policy that will require each campus president to sign off on any course that could be seen as advocating for “race and gender ideology or topics related to sexual orientation or gender identity.” 

 

The policy defines race ideology as “attempts to shame a particular race or ethnicity” or anything that “promotes activism on issues related to race or ethnicity rather than academic instruction. Gender ideology is defined as “a concept of self-assessed gender identity replacing, and disconnected from, the biological category of sex.” 

 

Regents also approved a policy that will prohibit faculty from teaching material inconsistent with the approved syllabus for each course. Both policies go into effect immediately, but enforcement will begin in spring 2026.

While the professional race-baiters and white liberals will be "outraged" at this news, this policy is actually in line with the rest of the state. Then too is the fact that the Left has no one to blame but themselves for these new college rules. After all, race and gender are subjects that have been talked about in American academia for decades now, uninterrupted with little to no resistance from the gov't or activist groups. But then the Woke Era came and screwed everything up for everybody.

House Democrat Stacey Plaskett Reportedly Texted with Jeffrey Epstein During Michael Cohen’s Congressional Testimony

Jeffrey Epstein appeared to be exchanging real-time messages with House Democrat, Del. Stacey Plaskett (Virgin Islands), during Michael Cohen’s 2019 testimony, and may have nudged the lawmaker’s line of questioning.

 

The documents, published by the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday, include messages highlighted in a new report by The Washington Post that were sent as Cohen detailed allegations that President Donald Trump manipulated financial records and directed hush-money payments, claims Trump denied.

 

As the hearing unfolded, Epstein appeared to be monitoring the proceedings closely, alerting his contact that Cohen had mentioned former Trump aide Rhona Graff.

 
Don't know much about Plaskett other than the fact that she's a loudmouth, professional race-baiter who once threatened independemt journalist Matt Taibbi with jail, claiming he committed perjury over rabid Lefty Mehdi Hasan's uncorrected error some years ago. Since she reps the Virgin Islands, Plaskett doesn't get a vote in the House, so she uses her time there to bully and intimidate white, male Republicans in the name of fighting back against 'white supremacy'...Hallelujah! That said, if we had any real media in this country they'd be investigating this matter further because Plaskett was clearly up to something dubious with Cohen and Epstein for a long time now.
