Trump Administration Freezes Minnesota Child Care Funds Over Fraud Allegations

MSN.com:

The US Department of Health and Human Services says it has frozen all child care payments to the state of Minnesota, as the FBI and Department of Homeland Security investigate allegations of fraud, including at child care centers, in the latest show of federal force in the state — home to the country’s largest Somali population.

Deputy Secretary of HHS Jim O’Neill announced the funding freeze on X Tuesday, weeks after ICE launched operations in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area to specifically target undocumented Somali immigrants, precipitated by revelations about widespread fraud against the state as well as President Donald Trump’s comments that he “doesn’t want” Somalis in the country.

The stepped-up effort also comes days after YouTube content creator Nick Shirley, who has created anti-immigrant and anti-Muslim videos in the past, posted a viral video in which he claimed to find widespread fraud at Somali-run child care centers. The video, which includes limited evidence for the creator’s allegations, has received more than 2.5 million views on YouTube as of Wednesday and was retweeted by Vice President JD Vance and former Department of Government Efficiency leader Elon Musk.

You really can’t overstate how poorly the media has handled this situation, though their response is entirely predictable. As surely as night follows day, they’ve resorted to race-baiting because the alleged fraud involves Somali individuals, focused their attacks more on independent journalist Nick Shirley than on the fraud itself, and run cover for Democrats at every turn (driven, as usual, by their hostility towards the GOP) while inevitably finding a way to blame Trump. But if Shirley continues to stick to the facts, ignores partisan noise from both sides, and practices real, genuine journalism, he’ll be doing a real service to Minnesota taxpayers who are exhausted by this ongoing mess in their own backyard (and he may well deal a serious blow to Gov. Tim Walz’s chances of reelection in Minnesota or any future presidential ambitions).

Federal Judge Rules Trump Admin Can Share Immigrants’ Medicaid Data with ICE

Politico.com

A federal judge ruled Monday that the Trump administration can resume sharing location data about undocumented immigrants receiving public health insurance benefits with Immigration and Customs Enforcement, starting next month.

U.S. District Judge Vince Chhabria’s ruling is a victory for President Donald Trump’s mass-deportation agenda as it allows ICE to use Medicaid data in deportation cases beginning Jan. 6. The agency had been blocked from doing so for months amid a legal challenge from blue states.

“The sharing of such information is clearly authorized by law and the agencies have adequately explained their decisions,” Chhabria wrote in a seven-page order. The decision marks a significant setback for California Attorney General Rob Bonta and 21 of his Democratic counterparts, who sued in July to prevent the Trump administration from using Medicaid data obtained from the Department of Health and Human Services to target immigrants.

This ruling reveals the Left's hypocrisy as many prominent libs claim to invoke 'privacy' concerns regarding Medicaid while allowing Medicaid fraud tied to illegal immigration. Which in turn allows noncitizens to improperly drain taxpayer-funded healthcare and $5.8 billion annually in emergency Medicaid costs. Data sharing enforces the law, it doesn't target families, and law and order require prioritizing American citizens over those who enter the country illegally.

Independent Journalist Matt Taibbi Sues Liberal Writer and Publisher Over Alleged Defamation in “Twitter Files” Coverage

Law.com

Independent political journalist Matt Taibbi has filed a defamation lawsuit against liberal writer Eoin Higgins and publisher Bold Type Books, according to court records. The case, Taibbi v. Higgins (1:25-cv-09511), was filed on November 13, 2025, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. Taibbi is represented by Garson, Segal, Steinmetz LLP, and the suit is classified under torts related to libel and slander.

The complaint centers on claims made in Higgins’ 2025 book, Owned: How Tech Billionaires on the Right Bought the Loudest Voices on the Left. Taibbi alleges the defendants falsely portrayed him as being financially influenced by billionaire Elon Musk following his publication of the “Twitter Files,” a series of reports based on internal Twitter documents provided after Musk acquired the platform. According to the lawsuit, the book incorrectly claims that Taibbi’s income “exploded” during the project and that he “cashed in” as a result of his reporting.

Taibbi addressed the lawsuit publicly on social media, strongly denying the allegations. “I’ve never taken a dime from any billionaire,” he wrote, objecting in particular to being described as “owned” and “bought” on the book’s cover. Calling the claims “absolutely outrageous,” Taibbi said he felt obligated to take legal action to defend his reputation. The case remains pending in federal court.

I can still remember, many years ago, seeing Matt Taibbi’s headlines in Rolling Stone magazine that all seemed to carry the same slant: Democrats good, Republicans bad, bad, bad and evil, even. At the time, I read Rolling Stone for its music coverage, not its politics. But even if I’d had any interest in browsing Taibbi’s many one-sided diatribes about how the GOP was supposedly going to destroy the world, from the headlines alone it was immediately clear that I wouldn’t be getting journalism, just the opinions of a far-Left hack. Adding to that (as I found out later) was the fact that in the mid-90s Rolling Stone owner Jann Wenner had left his longtime wife and children for a man and was, by all appearances, a cheating, wealthy, narcissistic liberal and major Democratic donor who used the magazine to push Democrat propaganda and smear Republicans. That context explained Taibbi’s writings perfectly.

Then, after Taibbi left Rolling Stone in the mid-2010s, his name started popping up again (on my radar) on podcasts, some TV and eventually through the Twitter Files. This time, it genuinely seemed like he had gone independent. He was still covering politics, but now he was doing real journalism: following the facts and reporting objectively, regardless of who came out looking bad. That shift not only made me a fan of Taibbi, but also earned him respect from many conservatives and independents on Twitter—while turning him into a target for liberals who once idolized him. And now this shit? Damn right Taibbi should sue, and I hope he wins...bigly.

Trump Announces the U.S. Has Bombed Nigeria

CNN.com:

President Donald Trump said Thursday he’d ordered a deadly strike on Islamic State terrorists in Nigeria, who he has accused of persecuting Christians in the country.

In a post on social media, Trump said he’d directed a “powerful and deadly strike against ISIS Terrorist Scum in Northwest Nigeria,” who he said had been killing innocent Christians.

US Africa Command said it conducted the strikes in Sokoto state, which borders Niger to the north, “in coordination with Nigerian authorities.” AFRICOM’s initial assessment is that “multiple ISIS terrorists were killed in the ISIS camps,” according to a news release.

While it’s true that ISIS terrorists aren’t only targeting Christians in Nigeria (they’re also killing Muslim) the larger point is that Trump is following through on his promise to use the military to strike these groups. Predictably, anti-war critics will argue that he should have gone through Congress first, while others will try to frame the strikes in terms of race or identity to smear him. At the same time, Trump supporters and war hawks will celebrate the action and praise his leadership. For my part, I support taking down terrorists regardless of who their victims are, because protecting people and confronting threats like this is a president’s primary responsibility.

Israel Bombs Gaza Wedding, Kills Six Palestinians

MiddleEastEye.net:

The Israeli army on Friday shelled a school being used as a shelter, where displaced Palestinian families had gathered for a wedding, killing at least six people, including a five-month-old baby. The Palestinian civil emergency service said several people were also wounded when an Israeli tank shells hit the second floor of the Gaza Martyrs School in the Tuffah neighbourhood, east of Gaza City.

Witnesses reported that an Israeli tank had advanced into the area and approached the school before firing.

They also said Israeli forces blocked ambulance and civil defence teams from reaching the site for more than two hours, delaying the evacuation of victims. Civil emergency services added that they were only able to recover the bodies after the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs intervened with Israeli authorities.

Convince me that part of the reason Benjamin Netanyahi's numerous war crimes against Gaza get downplayed by the mainstream media is because of their hatred for Donald Trump, which in turn means the President will forever remain their No. 1 boogeyman. That said, the reason Israel is losing the PR war in the U.S. is because Americans are sick of being guilt-tripped, bullied, and blackmailed into blind support for a foreign government that's led by a literal sociopath. So f the 'antisemitic' nonsense because this war will only end with the arrest of Netanyahu.

9 More Drugmakers Agree to Trump’s Policy to Lower Some Prices

TheHill.com:

The White House announced Friday that nine additional pharmaceutical companies have agreed to follow President Trump’s “most favored nation” (MFN) drug pricing policy, with some of the companies throwing in several months’ worth of emergency drug supplies.

The deals are the latest in a string of agreements the White House has announced with drugmakers that are aimed at lowering prices so they match what other countries pay.

“This represents the greatest victory for patient affordability in the history of American health care, by far,” Trump said at an Oval Office press conference. “The pharmaceutical companies were difficult, but they also love our country. They knew it was unfair, but they were great.”

This news is a really good thing, but of course it won't get much attention from the msm because they hate Trump. That being said if Trump can put together a meeting with the heads of Congress along with the big shots at the major pharmaceutical company's, tell them that gov't is going to come up with a plan with or without them to lower drug costs, moving forward when it comes to affordability this could benefit Americans everywhere.

Democratic National Committee Blocks Release of its 2024 Election Autopsy

Politico.com:

The Democratic National Committee is refusing to release its autopsy of the party’s major 2024 losses it announced on Wednesday, breaking Chair Ken Martin’s public pledge to do so. The decision underscores the party’s challenges in grappling with its electoral setbacks as it heads into what is expected to be a stronger midterm year.

The DNC’s completed post-election review of the party’s melodramatic and botched campaign cycle is based on hundreds of interviews with operatives in all 50 states. During that process, some Democrats raised concerns about releasing the findings, according to a DNC official granted anonymity to describe the sensitive process.

The DNC wanted to avoid another public debate over how the party lost the White House to Donald Trump, and instead, turn its focus on its recent successes, according to this official. Democrats have overperformed in special elections across the country this year, and won handily in New Jersey and Virginia last month. The committee previewed some initial findings from the autopsy to top donors and other Democratic stakeholders in October.

Once again, the Democratic Party seems determined to avoid accountability. In any serious endeavor (sports teams included) losses are studied, not ignored, because learning requires honesty. The DNC’s refusal to release its 2024 campaign autopsy out of fear of a “contentious reckoning” is precisely why it must be made public. Voters deserve to know why Kamala Harris lost every swing state, including her unwillingness to break from Biden or condemn genocide in Gaza. Burying the report signals the findings were inconvenient, especially on Palestine, and that party leaders would rather preserve the status quo than listen to their base. Any wonder why they're currently polling at 18 percent?

Wisconsin Judge Found Guilty of Obstructing Federal Immigration Agents in Courthouse Incident

FOXNews.com:

A jury found Milwaukee County Judge Hannah Dugan guilty of obstructing federal immigration agents during an attempt to serve a warrant at a courthouse earlier this year.

She faces up to five years in prison on the felony obstruction count.

Dugan was arrested in April after helping Eduardo Flores-Ruiz avoid plainclothes Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents who were trying to serve him a warrant. Prosecutors said Dugan helped Flores-Ruiz and his attorney exit her courtroom through a back door on April 18, after learning that ICE agents were in the building to arrest him.

Of course, this story hasn't gotten as much play in the mainstream media as it should be and that's obviously due to the Left's misgivings about ICE, who they berate and smear each and every day for doing their job. That said, the fact that a sitting judge would risk losing her career and go to this length to obstruct ICE agents is incredibly brazen and tells you how loony tunes some of these activist judges are when it comes to defying Trump and the law. And that's something conservatives need to think about more and more.

HHS Secretary RFK Jr. Moves to Restrict 'Gender-Affirming Care' for Minors

TheGuardian.com:

The Trump administration unveiled new actions aimed at eliminating transition-related medical care for minors across the US on Thursday, referring to such treatments as “sex-rejecting procedures”, a term used by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). As part of the effort, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services will initiate a rule-making process that would prevent hospitals from offering puberty blockers, hormone treatments, or surgical procedures to minors if they wish to participate in Medicare or Medicaid.

The proposal would also prohibit Medicaid funds from being used to cover this type of care. Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (Chip) together cover nearly half of all American children. “Under my leadership, and answering President Trump’s call to action, the federal government will do everything in its power to stop unsafe, irreversible practices that put our children at risk,” Robert F Kennedy Jr, the US health secretary, said in a statement.

“This administration will protect America’s most vulnerable. Our children deserve better – and we are delivering on that promise.”

Unless you're a part of the woke cult that is today's Democrat party, this issue isn't complicated: there are two genders and men can't be women and women can't be men. But hey if you're an adult and still want to mutilate your body because you've convinced yourself that you were born in the 'wrong body', go ahead and get 'gender-afffirming care' and carry on with your wicked life, just leave the kids alone.

4 Republicans Join Democrats on Extending ACA Subsidies

LiveNowFOX.com:

Four House Republicans crossed party lines Wednesday to force a vote on extending the Affordable Care Act tax credits that millions of Americans rely on to lower their health insurance premiums.

The four centrist Republicans signed onto a Democratic-led petition after House Republicans moved forward with a health care bill that doesn’t take any action on the ACA (or Obamacare) subsidies set to expire at the end of the year.

Republican Reps. Brian Fitzpatrick, Robert Bresnahan and Ryan Mackenzie, all from Pennsylvania, and Mike Lawler of New York signed on Wednesday morning, pushing it to the 218 votes needed to pass. With the GOP holding a slim 220-213 majority in the House, it only takes a few Republican defectors to upend the leadership’s agenda.

I've been saying that if Republicans want to keep control of the House next year they better either come up with an alternative healthcare plan of their own or put their ego's aside and negotiate with Democrats to extend the current ACA subsidies because too many Americans, Republicans and Democrats, depend of Obamacare. And it's way too risky to do nothing.

Black Lives Matter Chapter Head Charged with Fraud, Money Laundering

13Wham.com:

A federal grand jury has indicted the head of a Black Lives Matter chapter. It charged Tashella Sheri Amore Dickerson, executive director of Black Lives Matter's Oklahoma City wing, with money laundering and fraud last week. She allegedly embezzled funds from the chapter, BLMOKC, for her personal benefit from June 2020 through at least this past October.

Dickerson deposited at least $3.1 million in checks meant for BLMOKC’s social justice mission into her personal bank accounts, the Oklahoma City grand jury determined. The director used the funds for a variety of purposes, including recreational travel to the Dominican Republic and Jamaica for herself and her associates, a personal vehicle and six properties in the city, according to the indictment.

She also allegedly used tens of thousands of dollars to shop and at least $50,000 for food and grocery deliveries for herself and her kids.

So basically donations intended for protestors bail etc., was used to enrich herself--it's just amazing how this keeps happening over and over and over again.

Democrat Rep. Bennie Thompson Calls Soldier's Murder an 'Unfortunate Accident' in Hearing Clash

Politico.com:

The Trump administration is seizing on a misstatement by the top Democrat on the House Homeland Security Committee about the November shooting of two West Virginia National Guard members in Washington to skewer the lawmaker as unbothered by the tragedy.

At a Thursday committee hearing on threats facing the United States, Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.), the ranking member of the committee, initially called the shooting — which killed one service member and left another critically injured — an “unfortunate accident.” That misstatement immediately drew protest from Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, who was testifying at the hearing alongside the head of the National Counterterrorism Center and a senior FBI official.

“You think that was an unfortunate accident?” Noem said, notably offended. “That was a terrorist attack.” Thompson amended his comment to then describe the shooting as an unfortunate “situation.”

First, if this incident involved a Republican, it would be receiving far more media attention than it is now. Instead, the story has been framed as “Republicans pouncing” on Thompson, downplaying what was clearly an intentional statement (especially given his membership in a party long criticized for being soft on crime). Indeed, Thompson has been in politics long enough to know exactly what he was saying so this was not a slip of the tongue. He totally disrespected a murdered National Guardsman, and Secretary Noem had every right to be upset. But as usual, the liberal press is stepping in to shield Thompson from accountability.

8 Philadelphia Youths Arrested for Stealing Over $2,000 of Merchandise While in Florida for Football Tournament

CBSNews.com:

Eight members of a Philadelphia youth football team were charged with felonies after allegedly stealing more than $2,000 worth of merchandise from a Dick's Sporting Goods in Florida last weekend. The Polk County Sheriff's Office announced the eight teenagers were charged with retail theft over $750 and conspiracy to commit retail theft in connection with the alleged incident that happened Saturday. The teens' ages ranged from 13 to 15 years old.

According to the Polk County Sheriff's Office, the theft was caught on surveillance video. The teens split up into two groups during the theft at Dick's Sporting Goods — one of the groups made a purchase and then met the other in the middle of the store. That's when the teens began to place stolen merchandise inside a Dick's Sporting Goods bag, according to the sheriff's office.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office said three of the teens exited Dick's Sporting Goods with the stolen merchandise and were detained by law enforcement. The sheriff's office said they found stolen merchandise inside a black backpack and a Dick's Sporting Goods bag. The five other teenagers were arrested inside the store.

Talk about stupid, all 8 of them. And in a state that doesn't play around when it comes to shoplifting, which is actually a good thing. Because if this happened in their home state of Pennsylvania, they would've most likely have a gotten a slap on the wrist because that's what blue states do when it comes to crime.

Is Insider Trading About to be Banned in Congress?

TheHill.com:

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) filed a discharge petition on Tuesday in an attempt to bypass House Republican leadership to force a vote on a bill to prohibit stock trading for members of Congress and their immediate family members.

Luna had long warned that she would file such a petition if leaders did not move fast enough to advance stock ban legislation. “We have decided because of a lack of movement from the House of Representatives to initiate the discharge petition on banning insider trading,” Luna said in a video posted to social media. “If leadership wants to put forward a bill that would actually do that and end the corruption, we’re all for it.”

The petition aims to force a vote on the Restore Trust in Congress Act, a bipartisan bill unveiled earlier this year that would require members to divest their holdings or put them in a blind trust. Reps. Chip Roy (R-Texas) and Seth Magaziner (D-R.I.), the lead sponsors of the bill, said in a joint statement: “The clock is now running. If leadership does not move quickly to put forward a strong ban on congressional stock trading, the members of the body will act.”

This reform is long overdue, and with the bill’s bipartisan support, there’s a strong chance it will pass the House if it can get past Speaker Mike Johnson, who appears to oppose it. Public backing is also overwhelmingly clear: roughly 80% of Americans reject the idea of members of Congress engaging in insider trading. And while the bill would also extend restrictions to lawmakers’ family members, it notably exempts the President and Vice President, an omission that could incentivize Trump to sign it. It’s also worth noting that more than 20 members of Congress nearly doubled last year’s S&P 500 average gain of 24.9%, with the top performers spanning both Democrats and Republicans.

Supreme Court Hands Trump Victory in Fight Over Texas Congressional Map

TheHill.com:

The Supreme Court revived Texas’s congressional map that sparked a mid-decade redistricting war by adding up to five Republican pickup opportunities, paving the way Thursday for it to be used for the midterm elections as litigation proceeds.

Over the dissents of the court’s three liberal justices, the majority said a lower court likely erred when invalidating the map as a likely racial gerrymander. “The District Court improperly inserted itself into an active primary campaign, causing much confusion and upsetting the delicate federal-state balance in elections,” the unsigned ruling reads.

It is not the high court’s final word, but it enables Texas to move ahead to its March primary under the new map as the state continues its appeal. In dissent, Justice Elena Kagan chastised her colleagues for intervening “based on its perusal, over a holiday weekend, of a cold paper record.”

Huge win for the GOP and Trump who's desperate when it comes to keeping the House in the second half of his term. Otherwise, if Democrats take back the lower chamber, they'll find any reason to impeach him.

Rand Paul Offers Trump and GOP an Affordable Healthcare Plan

Newsweek.com:

Obamacare costs the taxpayers billions of dollars and costs every individual thousands of dollars a year in increased premiums. As conservatives, including myself, warned in the debate over Obamacare, subsidizing insurance simply increases demand and therefore increases the price of health insurance.

Where once there existed the choice of a higher deductible plan with lower premiums, now Obamacare plans offer high deductibles and high premiums. Any semblance of a functioning individual health insurance market has been eliminated, as government health insurance or employers are the only real source of coverage for nearly all Americans.

My health care plan, called the Health Marketplace and Savings Accounts For All Act, which I will introduce this week, does two things and costs the taxpayers nothing. First, my plan legalizes the ability for any group to purchase insurance collectively and operate across state lines. My plan would make it legal for Costco, Sam’s Club, or Amazon to bargain for their millions of members as a single entity, thereby driving prices down. These collectives could be bigger than any corporation in America and have the size and leverage to drive health premiums down. In fact, once these co-ops are legalized, the individual market likely melts away, and everyone in America would gain the benefits that normally accrue to the group market.

Considering the fact that GOP, in light of all their criticism of Obamacare over the years, still have no healthcare plan of their own, it'd make a lot of sense for Trump to take this plan to the voters and see what they think. Senator Paul says his proposal will improve healthcare and lower costs, so in an age where everyone is taking about affordability, what's Trump's gotta lose here?

Hillary Clinton Says Anti-Israel Sentiment Among Young People is Fueled by ‘Propaganda’ on Social Media

Independent.com.uk:

Hillary Clinton has claimed that young Americans are being persuaded to support the Palestinian cause by social media, lashing out at misinformation and saying some videos of violence in Gaza are “totally made up.”

The 2016 Democratic presidential candidate made the comments Tuesday at a summit in New York City hosted by the Israeli newspaper Israel Hayom.

“Smart, well-educated, young people from our own country, from around the world, where were they getting their information?” Clinton asked at the event. “They were getting their information from social media, particularly TikTok.”

It's amazing just how obtuse this woman remains to this day, because Clinton's claim that young Americans are being misled by TikTok ignores the real reason public opinion is shifting: many people (Jewish and non-Jewish) are engaging seriously with the historical record of Zionism, which openly pursued a Jewish-majority state through Jewish-only institutions in a land overwhelmingly inhabited by Palestinian Arabs. But rather than condescending to echo chambers, Clinton might confront the documented actions and rhetoric of the Israeli government and military, which increasingly drive global criticism. Young Jewish Americans who do know the history understand the distinction between Judaism and Zionism, recognizing that treating them as synonymous not only distorts the past, but also heightens antisemitism. Yet, honest discussion (something Hillary is incapable of having) requires acknowledging these complexities, not dismissing informed dissent as social-media confusion.
